Vegan Crete ("we", "us", "our") operates the website vegancrete.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Data controller: Giorgos Trigonakis, Heraklion, Crete, Greece. Contact: vegancrete.info@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Contact & business forms: your name, email address, and the content of your message.
- Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe.
- Usage data: anonymised, aggregated analytics (pages visited, device type, referrer) via Plausible Analytics. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across sites.
- Cookies: we use only essential cookies needed to run the site. Our analytics are cookieless, so we do not set tracking or advertising cookies.
Why we use it (lawful basis)
- To reply to your enquiries — legitimate interest / your consent.
- To send you our newsletter — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To understand and improve the site — legitimate interest, using cookieless analytics that do not identify you.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We use trusted processors to run the site and communicate with you (e.g. Netlify for website hosting, Google (Gmail) for email, and Plausible Analytics for cookieless usage statistics), who process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements. Some processors are located outside the EU; such transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses.
Retention
We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to help you, and newsletter data until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these, email vegancrete.info@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.
Changes
We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above will change accordingly.
